Preparing Future Faculty Program

In partnership with the Center for Teaching Excellence, which works to promote and encourage a culture of excellence in teaching at VCU, the Graduate School sponsors a collection of short courses and professional development opportunities for graduate students interested in pursuing careers in higher education. Through a series of one-credit courses, the Preparing Future Faculty Program introduces graduate students to the roles and responsibilities of higher education, addresses teaching and learning issues in the college classroom and provides supervised internship opportunities.

PFF courses may be taken individually or as part of the Preparing Future Faculty in the Professions certification module, which places special emphasis on preparing faculty for positions in professional schools.
