Honor system

Virginia Commonwealth University recognizes that honesty, truth and integrity are central to its mission as an institution of higher education. VCU’s honor policy [PDF] serves to maintain these values, even if the result is separating violators from the university.

The policy outlines the responsibilities of students, faculty and administration in upholding academic integrity, while also respecting the rights of individuals to due process through administrative hearings and appeals.

All students and instructors of any course or program offered by VCU are responsible for acting in accordance with the honor policy.
