Graduate school funding for students
On the recommendation of department program directors, the Graduate School provides graduate student funding for a number of fellowship programs, oversees the awarding and administration of more than $5 million in university tuition and fee support and, pending available funds, supports graduate student research grants and travel programs. Eligibility is based on a variety of criteria, including academic performance and competitiveness.

Eligibility is based on a variety of criteria, including academic performance and competitiveness. Inquiries about awards should be made with the director of the student’s program of study.

The Graduate School regularly posts information about externally funded grants, scholarships and fellowship programs, as well as announcements of upcoming deadlines. Students can also refer to the Office of Financial Aid for additional scholarship programs.
